Indore, December 17, 2009 - It was not long ago when people were lamenting on the environment degradation as there was no such winter feelings as it used to be a few years back then suddenly, as if it has heard these concerns of the citizens, weather has turned the atmosphere into a hail storm yesterday. Indore was to face winds as fast as 85km per hour yesterday and it soon brought heavy rain to join the ride. It was when people were just trying to find a shelter, it started pelting hail stones overhead. The wind, the rain and the hail stones; the trio kept pounding the city for 15 minutes and there was nothing but hail stones everywhere; on roofs, on streets, on coats, in the gardens and everywhere. It rained 18.1mm in just 15 minutes. It took a break and returned with doubled fury at night too, culminating the whole rain-fall to 1 inch.

The Weather Department informs that the incident has been repeated only after 10 years in Indore. The temperature, which was 28 degree during day time, sudden fell considerably at night and made people feel the real winter.
