Reply: Good Points but Some Improvement is Still Needed

Number one, the link is for "Indore - 51 Things To Do", which aims to detail "must do" things for a person visiting Indore. There might be different forumns for discussing improvements.
Having said that, taking your comments positively, I feel (and many would agree) that few of the above points are required to be implemented all over India not just in Indore. Having lived and experienced the length and breadth of the country, I feel a few points are unfair to be pointed "just" to Indore.

Indore: A few more...
written by Hrishi, July 21, 2008
Firstly, i would like to say that this is really a very good compiled list to give an idea of what "real Indore" is.
A few important things I felt are missing are - mainly about Indori festivals, or festivals celebrated all over the country, but differently in Indore!

52> Zhaki: An all-night procession marking the end of 10-day Ganesh Uutsav (Festival) on Aanant Chaturthi. Zhaki are moving Tableaux structure decorated with bright lights, flowers accompanied with music, dances, and 'aakhade'... This is more than an 100 year old, Indore's unique tradition... of which Indoris are very proud of!

53> 14th August night 12 O Clock: You have to be at Indore's heart, Rajwada to believe what you see!! Thousands of people dancing and celebrating India's Independance Celebration sharp at 12 at night!

54> Instantaneous magic shown by Dahi wada shop at Sarafa.

55> Visit to Chappan Dukan. (Dont know how this was missed?)

56> Dussehera Celebrations: Visit to any of places where huge effigies of Ravan are brunt. Some even more than 100 feet tall... Go to Dussehera Maidan to see the authentic one preceded by Ram-leela.
