Well, This really is a very tricky subject because for everyone, Indore is different. Everybody's top ten things to do in Indore may be different and it should be because indore has so much to offer.

But still, i tried to put together this list of top 10 things, that most of you who are from Indore, are visiting Indore for the first time would love to do. These are my personal favorites - so you can decide later if that makes your top ten list or doesn't. Here goes...

The Top Ten Things To Do in Indore:

Visit Treasure Island: It may not be one of the best malls in the world, but it sure is one of the best in India. Lots of shopping, fun and masti at one place. Try the food court, the horror zone, and some sporting activities at the Mall. You will remember this day even more if you are with friends or family -make it the most happening day of your visit to Indore. You can shop some of the best national and international brands at Indore TI mall. Reebok, Titan, Cambridge, Peter England, Provogue, Fashion Station, Baskin Robbins and McDonald are some of the names to remember when you go to Treasure Island in Indore.

Eat till you are full, at Sarafa:  How many times have you heard this already? Sarafa is not to be missed. Specially, the night after a great day at the mall, you must visit Sarafa and try the most delicious food i have ever tried (ofcourse my wife, and my mom cook better :-), but you must visit sarafa during the night. After 9 and eat till you drop! What not to miss? Gulab Jamun, Sabudana Khichdi, Dahi Bada, Paav Bhaji, Bhutte Ka Kis..actually, nothing should be missed when you are at Sarafa Indore.

Get Religious in Indore:  A little spiritual angle wouldn't hurt. You should go to atleast one of these 5 places. If you can make it to all of them, thats fabulous. But atleast one would make you indore visit worthwhile. Bijasan Tekri/ Annapurna Temple/ Khajrana Ganesh Temple/ Hinkar Giri and Gomat Giri Jain tirth / Kaanch Mandir. Hinkar Giri Indore gives a great view of the Airport too from where your can see flights landing and taking off. Its a great picnic spot with family. Annapurna Temple, a years old temple built on Southern Indian meenakshi temple architecture presents you with lot of mythological stories and a fun place if you are in a mood to revive your religious beliefs and epics in Indore city.

Start at Rajwada and Stroll Down to the Krishnapura Chattris: Rajwada Indore is not to be missed. An ancient place to see the combination of French and Maratha architecture and few memories of the Holkar dynasty, as well as the palace of few kings of Holkar regime in Indore. Rajwada Indore is 200 year old, seven storied palace with fountains, gardens, and waterfalls. You can take a few snaps here, and infront of Rajwada at Ahilya bai udhyan. Then, take a cup of tea and walk down the MG Road towards the Krishnapura Bridge Chhatris. These famous monument are beatifully build chhatris in Indore which will inspire you. Chattris is a local name used in describing the dome structures that were built for ceremonial rites of their rulers. The Maratha styled architecture of memorial stones and pyramidal spires exhibits brilliant designs. A prayer hall having an oblong shape was carved with pillars and arches along with the life sized Holkar ruler statue. Chattris glows against the black sky with a fountain, garden and boating facility, attracting more and more people every night.

Shop Till You Drop in Indore Classic Market - Sitlamata Bazaar, Cloth Market, Khajuri Bazaar area: Indore has many new shopping malls and big super markets. Still, the real indore shopping is done at the real Indore bazaars- Indore's very old and popular Cloth Martket, Sitlamata Bazaar, Khajuri Bazaar, Kasera Bazaar, Pipli Bazaar and Sarafa are all in walking distance and can always be seen full of people ready to shop. you can get clothes, utensils, jewelry, plastic goods and many things in these markets. Even if you are not interested in buying, its worth visiting just to see the real spirit of Indore.

Take A Day trip to Nakhrali/ Chokhi Dhani You can choose either one as they are more or less similar Resort style plus indian rajasthani Village style family fun and picnic spots. Enjoy the great hosts and food at these places as they serve you traditional Rajasthani food with even more traditional requests. Enjoy some cirus acts, pyro acts, magic shows, animal rides and water rides too. Its a place to relax - so forget your work, your office and your home - just engage yourself in this dream come true day at Nakhrali or Chokhi Dhani in Indore. You will never forget it!

Enjoy a ride in Indore City Bus If you have less time and want to cover more, buy a day pass for Indore city bus. Then travel from one end of the city to the other. If you are still not satisfied, change the route - Hop on to a different bus and go till the bus reaches its last stop. On the way you will see real indore. Indore people, shops, roads, temples, buildings and much more. Indore is not just about the attractions, its way more than that..and you will enjoy all these things in a indore city bus ride.

Visit Jail Road Indore, Specially Novelty Market To see whats new in electronics and mobile world, visit Jail road indore. Do not miss the Novelty and Dollar market. Here you will find latest and greatest electronics items for low prices. A word of caution - beware of imitations. There are duplicates for everything including the playstations and xboxes. At novelty market indore you can buy some good electronics for cheap if you know how to bargain and know what you are buying. Its worth the hassle to go inside this small market on Jail road where you'll rub shoulders with businessmen, customer, kids and some pickpockets!

Have feet? Will Dance at Quorum Indore! To enjoy indore's nightlife, take some extra cash in your pocket and head to Vijaynagar. Sayaji, the best hotel in Indore offers lots of entertainment and fun in the night. Go for a round of bowling and the Sayaji Bowling alley. Then hit the pool table with friends and see who's got the balls. When nothing else works, take a sip at the bar and hit the dance floor at Quorum - Sayaji's special dance club and pub where Indore dances on the tune of bollywood and hollywood.

Dont Miss this last one: Celebrity, Uttam Bhog, Rambabu Ke Parathe/ Gurukripa.
Last but not the least, end your visit to Indore is a special way. Go for a lunch at Uttam Bhog, then afternoon snacks at Celebrity, and finish off with a dinner at Rambabu Ke Parathe or Gurukripa. I bet, you will never forget the food, and you will always remember Indore.
