Deoguradia is a small picturesque village about 8 km from Indore on nemawar road. Its a nice and serene place for a day trip with the family. Deoguradia is famous for a monolithic rock temple built in 7th Century and redone by Ahilya Bai Holkar in 18th century. It has water outlet in the shape of Gomukh which is also called as Garuda Tirth. The water from this outlet flows as if its devoting abhishek to the Gods. Deoguradia Indore's original Shivalinga is 12 ft under water in a sunken temple above which the present temple is built. A beatiful fair is held by locals and villagers on every shivratri to honour the diety shri Gutkeshwar Mahadeo, an avatar of Lord Shiva. Trackback(0)
