Indore's very own Ankita Lokhande makes her TV serial debut with Ekta Kapoor's Pavitra Rishta.

Ankita is from Indore and moved to Mumbai in 2004. She started her career with Zee Cinestars ki Khoj. This show gave her the exposure she needed and she got some stints in prints ads and catalogues.

Ankita played the lead role in Bali Umar Ko Salaam serial, but it never took off.

In her role in Ekta Kapoor's Pavitra Rishta, Ankita plays a simple Maharashtrian girl Archana. Ankita's father was not happy with her getting into acting earlier, but now he is fine after seeing her role in Balaji Telefilm's serial.
