Today, Wednesday Jan 27th, Apple announced iPad at San Francisco, CA. This new device is essentialy a bigger iPod touch without a camera.

Some people call it the apple tablet, some call it a new ebook reader from apple, but actually its more than that. Steve Jobs, Apple's founder and CEO today announced iPad with following features:

At the event, Gameloft came up on the stage showing off Nova on iPad, the game has been reworked just for the iPad. With iPad, new multi-touch gestures for the game NOVA are introduced that allows to throw a grenade swipe across the screen and many more features. The iPad version will ship later this year.

Then, the NY Times Martin Nisenholtz was on the stage showin their apps "it's so much more" you can sync articles to your iPhone to read them on the go. Its the next version of digital journalism.

Then came Travis Boatman on the stage to talk about EA games, and speed on the iPad. Need for Speed and other EA games tested, and will be available on the App Store in no time.

The all new iPhone SDK - released today now enhanced to support both iPhone and iPad.

The All new Apple iPad has a lot to offer. When can you get one at an Apple store near you? Well, we don't know yet but they say it should be available in 60 Days....This may be a great Valentine's Day gift to your loved ones.

It has two models - 3G and WiFi only. With two awesome plans - 250MB data for $14.99 and Unlimited for$29.99. Its again with AT&T.

So what's the price of an Apple iPAD?
Most expensive iPod will be $829 for 64GB plus 3G. Wifi models will be available worldwide. Shipping in 60 days.

32 GB is $599 - 64 GB is $699 - 16 GB version is $499 with WiFi "a lot of people can afford an iPad". iPhone runs almost all 140,000 apps.

For overseas use, new GSM micro SIMS can be used. All iPad 3G models are UNLOCKED.

So, how much will iPad Cost in India? Approximately Rs. 25000 for the basic model, and it will go upto 35000 Rs. for the costliest iPad 64GB+ 3G model.
