In a recent survey conducted by MP Voluntary Health Association it is found that the rules are being violated in hotels and restaurants. There is a rule against smoking in public places still the smoke coming out from hotels and restaurants have a highest level of PM 2.5 micron in it. They are so small that they easily enter to the smallest cell in deep of the lungs to affect them and cause cancer. Dr. P. C. Bhatnagar, director of Voluntary Health Association of India, informed to the correspondents that Particulate Matter (PM) in cigarettes is so fine that it easily reaches to the cells in lungs and cause lungs diseases, cancer, COPD, heart diseases, cardiovascular disorder etc.
