Two separate lobbies have been formed in State Bank of Indore administration on its merger in State Bank of India. One of the group is opposing the merger while the proponents have already formed a committee in its favour. The different views can affect the proposed strike on 16th December. This has, though, made it easy for the management to execute the merger. A similar case of Bank of Saurashtra has revealed that the merger will render additional after-retirement benefits worth Rs.3 to 10 lakhs to the employees.
