With the change of technical education minister, RGPV Chancellor has raised their opposition to convert SGSITS status into a University. He has written a letter to the college administration to inform that he is not at all agree to award this new status to the college. His letter has not raised a situation of uncertainty in the college. Dr. P. K. Sen, the director of the institution comments that Mr. Chancellor  should not intervene in the matter when government itself is taking action in this regard.
