There have been much innovative changes in jewellery trend in Indore. It has no longer remain an ornament for women, but men are equally using it as an adornment. According to a local news paper there has been tremendous 40% growth in jewellery liking men in last three years in the city. It just a few years back when jewellery shopping was entirely the job of parents and elder members in the family but today youth are getting ahead to fulfil their own taste their own way. Looking at the growing demand a wide range of men’s jewellery has been introduced in the city – chain, pendent, bracelet, cufflink and others. There are special sections for men’s jewellery section in showrooms today, and there is always a new design on the shelf every three months. Jewellery experts in the city accept a 40% increase in the trend of men’s jewellery in past three years. The old Buppy Lahari trend has gone now and new Salman and Akshay special jewellery is in demand. Another reason behind its popularity among young people is investment which they are much conscious about these days. The most preferred designs are – Animal Look, Italian, Nawabi, Stone setting. According to experts the young people are often willing to invest 20 to 80 thousand on their favourite jewellery and they like to wear from 25-50grams of jewellery. Generally professionals give priority to their taste over price. Black gun metal, white gold, pink gold, yellow gold, platinum, diamond, leather, rubber, diamond, stone and Rudraksha make the most jewellery items. Armlet, bands, formal look branch, cufflink, pendent, ring, tiepin, single gold, diamond tops, Punjabi Kada, belt buckles, brand pendent are some of most bought men’s jewellery.
