Manish Arora, 29 a software engineer from Indore was recently arrested by CCIC (Cyber Crime Investigation Cell) Mumbai.

He was accused of threatening the Director of a multinational company - and his previous employer - by blackmailing him to post the code of their applications online. Arora asked him to pay him $4500 otherwise he would publish the code and make it availabe to everyone online. The code was said to be worth 15 million dollars. Arora was a SSE in this firm and resigned in June and went back to his hometown- Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

 "Arora was confident that the MNC officials would not file a complaint against him as he had the source code. And so he made the mistake of sending the emails from his personal computer." said Rakesh Maria, joint commissioner of police. Manish is arrested for stealing confidential data of the firm.
