History repeats itself. Chariots would again be running on roads of Indore. The Traditions and Cultural Conservation Society Intek is considering use of chariots to attract tourists. The chariots and charioteer would be presented to the city in a new make-up soon. The adorned horses and beautified chariots would be running on the roads of Indore with tourists. The charioteer age-old callings ‘Babooji hat ke… bahan ji bach ke …bachchaa baju ho ja…’ could be heard on roads again. This will be common scene in Indore soon. The efforts to rejuvenate charioteers and provide a comfortable and entertaining way to reach tourist spots in Indore have begun.

According to Himanshu Dudwadkar of Intek, the chariots would be decorated beautifully and the charioteers would also be adorned in proper uniform. He further informs that there are 40 charioteers in the city this time and all of them are suffering a bad business this time. This of the organizations’ effort will help them boost their income too.
