It is not sound enough to sustain crowd. Monday, It is Pushya Nakshatra, and the best auspicious omen to make purchases. Full with festive excitement and gusto citizens have left their houses in the morning to converge at bazaars. Streets of all famous markets are full of crowed since morning. And the city traffic system succumbs.

There were long jams on many busy streets in the city yesterday. Many vehicles were embroiled into jams from Palasia square to Shastri Bridge in the evening time. Whereas a on-road stage erected by Indore Municipal Corporation to inaugurate Wider Street at Regale square kept disturbing traffic through out the day and even till late night. Wheels had to throttle there for a long time. Vehicles were just creeping from there even after completion of the event. Traffic was all a mess at Lantern square, Jawahar Marg, Subhash Marg, too. It was also the scene from Malharganj to Krishnpura road.

Chhawani Area will be One-way from Today - Considering the growing pressure, temporary traffic arrangements, which were to be applied from 15th, are now being effective from today itself. New system will be applied in Western part of the city only. In Eastern part Chhawani will be a one-way zone from Tuesday. DSP Anjana Tiwari informed that people will be able to route from Madhumilan to GPO but will not be allowed to return the same way.
