Indore Says: Rain Rain Come Again!

Indore and Indorians are happy with the 6 to 10 inches of rain in Indore. After a long humid day, a breeze of air and pretty drops of water from the sky feel great. Though the water has caused drainage problems at some places and roads may be muddy - but people are still happy with the rain. Farmers are happy because this will definately help them for their crops this year. Water level has increased at water reserviors and ponds in Indore.

New Runway at Indore Airport will be functional from Next Month

Indore Airport is already approved to be an International Airport - and now with the progress of the work with the new runway, from august it may start operations.

This new runway is 9000 foot long and will be able to serve E-type planes too. In next phase, the length will be increased to 11500 foot. After this new indore airport runway becomes operational, cargo companies can start their services and routine operations at Indore. 6 new aprons have been built at Indore airport.

To resolve the issue of Bird hit that has occured many times recently, a hooter or zone gun will be provides to indore airport authorities. Meanwhile, work is ongoing for the integrated terminal building at Indore airport that is scheduled to complete in December - or feb 2010 by latest. From this integrated building at Indore airport 500 domestic and 200 international flight passengers will be able to transit. This indore airpot integrated building will have all new facilities, customs and a lot more.
