Streets are dug, sharp steel rods peeping out every where, ditches affluent, electric cables lying loose are the common scenes in Indore these days. The ongoing civil construction works in the city have become a perilous problem for the citizens. This has been due to open violation of regulations of Indian Road Congress by IMC and other agencies. Street construction is in full swing at 8-10 places in the city and pole-shifting is also being carried out at many of these places. The neither IMC nor the contracting agency have made proper arrangements for Electricity supply. And people face acute problem in dark hours either they are falling in open ditches or just colliding with others. On A. B. road, 5 to 10 feet deep ditches have been dug for BRTS construction and rods are dangerously coming out as if ready to cause a big accident. IMC workers, contractors and even local public representatives pass through these spots every day but no one is concerned of peoples safety so far.
