Sumitra Mahajan Once again wins the Indore constituency seat with a small number of votes beating Satyanarayan Patel of Congress and all others in the race. Sumitra Tai received 388662 votes, Patel received 377182 votes.

Overall, Congress sweeped the nation with a majority in the 2009 general elections.
