| CSC Indore Exploits Indian Workers in Denmark |
CSC (Computer Science Corporation), headquartered in Noida with offices in Indore city, is allegedly exploiting Indian workers and professional deputed to work in Denmark.CSC is facing allegations that it has not paid wages as per the Danish laws to its Indian employees working in Denmark. Danish Trade union PROSA has even filed a case with the authorities in Denmark. As per the laws, a foreign worker in Denmark should be paid a minimum of 31,250 DKK in order to enter and work in the country. CSC on the other hand, pays between 6000 to 8000 Denmark Kroner per month to the IT Professionals deputed in Denmark. As per the Business Technology news, the issue came to light when an Indian employee with CSC complained about not receiving the wages he was promised. He said he was paid 3000 DKK, the same as his salary in India. CSC allegedly claimed that the small two bedroom apartment he was provided with, was worth 11,579 DKK. Totally, all this added up to 3,75,000 DKK annually, which is the amount a foreigner should be paid in Denmark. The employee complained to the PROSA, following which, he was allegedly sent back to India immediately. His contract reportedly states that if he were to leave CSC India within two years of his return from Denmark, he would have to pay a penalty of Rs. 3,00,000. PROSA has said that if he takes the matter to court, it will pay the penalty to CSC. However, he has reportedly withdrawn his complaint after CSC allegedly said it will not give him relieving papers until he withdraws the case against the Denmark branch. Trackback(0)
