First day of the BJP's national conference and executive meet 2010.

Yesterday, the first day for VVIPs and BJP Leaders in Indore was a mixed reaction. Some of the leaders/Politicians were not happy, some had a lot of fun.

In all, it was not a long-hectic day for the BJP leaders in Indore. Kushabhau Thakre Gram, as it is called for the convention, is jampacked with 1225 tents, where 24 VVIPs, 200 VIPs and 1001 other BJP politicians are staying for the conference.

The day started with Lalkrishna Advani and Sushma Swaraj inaugurating two exhibitions. The first exhibition was focused on JanSangh and BJP journey and the other is based on the Government's work.

Then the meeting of the National Executive committee started with Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari's speeches.

Today, the BJP National Council meeting is going to have following agenda:

• National Security Proposal to be passed. Will be presented by Arun Jetli.
• Murali Manohar Joshi to speak about Environment.
• Cultural Programs in the evening

Security for the BJP convention is a big task and is very well managed by Indore Police so far. A total police force of 1200 is involved in whole operation. 20 DSPs, 25 inspectors, 60 SI, 500 constables, 3 SAF companies, 1 QRF company, 200 PTS constables, 275 APTC cops.

As we informed earlier too, there is a big Risk in Indore and a High alert is already in place expecting a terror attack in Indore.

The whole day went by good and in the evening, few leaders sang their favorite songs to make it a melodious night. Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jetli, Varun Gandhi were not to happy with the facilities due to various experiences they had on their first day.
