Ballot counting has begun at Nehru Stadium to declare 21st Mayor for Indore Municipal Corporation today. The main contestants in this election were Pankaj Sanghvi from Congress and Krishnamurari Moghe from BJP. Besides, 69 Parshads will also be elected for all the wards in Indore. The counting has started at 9am and is expected to complete by 5 in the evening. All the preparations have been made for the event. Approx one and half thousand cops have been deployed at most sensitive areas in the city viz. Juna Risala, Khajrana, Aazad Nagar, Baanganga, Chitawat etc. An order has been issued by Corporation Commissioner C. B. Singh to keep all the garages and other shops out of the Stadium premises close during the period. All the roads leading to Nehru Stadium will also be restricted. Entries from A. B. Road, GPO and State Bank of India to Stadium will be banned on Tuesday. Persons participating in vote counting will only be allowed an entry in this region.
