Columbia Convent Senior Secondary, Co- Educational English medium school affilliated to CBSE. Established in 1991, Columbia Convent is one of the prominent CBSE schools in Indore. Columbia Convent, Indore The school is located in a Pollution-Free Zone, on the outskirts of the city, away from the hustle and bustle, on the Bicholi Hapsi Road. ( Provided by M/s. V.S.T.M.Hostel ) Columbia Convent Indore Admissions Procedure: Registration : Registration form, duly filled , is to be submitted to the school within stipulated period. Admission Test & Interview : Admission test and interview will be conducted to assess the potential of the students. Test Time - 2 hrs. Subjects - Hindi, English, Maths. Course : For the admission test for various classes, course of previous class will be followed. Result : All the candidates qualifying in the written test and interview will be given admission in the respective classes. Result will be declared within an hour on the same day of test. Necessary Documents For classes II onwards school leaving certificate and mark-list of the previous class examination is to be submitted. T.C. should be counter signed by the educational authority of the state. Admission to the other classes For those who have passed X from this school and are interested for admission to XI standard , should take and submit the duly filled application from within seven days of declaration of their result. Admission will depend on the Jobs of seat. No special consideration in this case shall be granted. Admission to various streams will depend on the following criteria. Mathematics & Science Commerce Biology & Science Test for the above classes will be conducted and admission granted on merit basis. Mode of Withdrawal School fee for that month will have to be paid, Rs.30/- will be charged for Transfer Certificate. The names of those students who remain absent from school without any information of application for a period of one month , will be struck off the school roll. For re-admission Rs.1000/- will be charged. Refund in case of Withdrawal School leaving certificate can be obtained along- with the refund. The refund will be payable by an Account Payee Cheque issued in the name of mother/ father / guardian. ACHIVEMENTS: SPORTS
STATE LEVEL: In the XI M.P. State Shooting Championship and VII M. P. State Inter school shooting championship held at Daly College: In Junior Boys open sight Rifle- Ashutosh Sharma- XII Sc- won Gold, Anil Gupta-XII Sc - won Silver and Chittranjan Singh Rathore-XII Sc won the Bronze. In sub Junior Boys- Atul Gupta - IX C won Silver ( All the Shooters got selected for National Competition) NATIONAL LEVEL: IN THE ALL INDIA INTER SCHOOL SHOOTING COMPETITION HELD AT MEERUT - Junior Boys open sight Rifle- Ashutosh Sharma, Anil Gupta - XII A, Abhijay Singh Sisodia-XII C WON TEAM GOLD Sub Junior: Rahul Mukati,Atul Gupta, Rishabh Jamley won the Team silver. Individual : Rahul Mukati won Bronze. SWIMMING In the Inter School Diving competition held at Ahilya Aashram school sponsored by District Education Department- Under 14 yrs Girls Radhika Apte Won Gold -- High Board, Gold--3 mt. Spring Board, and Silver--1 mt. Spring Board. In the National Level Diving competition held at Surat – Bronze in High Board. In the Open National Spring Board Diving held at Kolkata- Bronze in 3 mt. In the State Level Spring Board – 1 mtr. Race, 2 gold and 1 silver. In the Open State Level Spring Board- 3 mtr ..stood first, High board-stood first and in the 1 mtr. Spring Board won second position. JUDO STATE LEVEL: In the Madhya Pradesh Judo Federation of India State Competition held at Gwalior, SILVER – Humza Khan VIII C, BRONGE – Shivam Atre VII A IN THE CBSE WEST ZONE JUDO CHAMPIONSHIP-2008, HELD AT Sagar Public School Bhopal - UNDER 12 GIRLS – Gold -Ayushi Tomar-VII,Silver- Vikeshu Raghuvanshi -VI,Bronze-Sonali Khandelwal- VII UNDER 19 GIRLS – Bronze -Tanu Chidar-XII ,Bronze -Sonal Parate-XII UNDER 14 BOYS – Silver-Ibrahim Ali -XI,Bronze -Ritesh Phadnis – VII UNDER 17 BOYS – Bronze -Sameeruddin Kazi-XI UNDER 19 BOYS – Anurag Singh Tomar -XII Com won Gold. NATIONAL LEVEL: In the CBSE Judo National Competition held at Amritsar, Ayushi Tomar secured gold. She was the only student from whole of Madhya Pradesh to won the gold medal. SKATING In Skating selection trials for state held at D.P.S. on 8.09.08 to 10.09.08 , Sudeep Das X A, Anshuman Yadav X B, and Nilank Sharma of X B, were selected for State competition. Nilank Sharma stood I in Roller Hockey Team and got selected for Nationals and will be going to Chandigarh in the month of Feb. for the National Level Competition. In the Sahodaya Inter School Skating Championship held at Pragya Girls School- Anshuman Yadav : 2 Silver (Rink Race I & II) Sudeep Das: 1 Silver. 1 Bronge (Rink Race I & II) Payal Sharma: 1 Bronge ( Rink Race I ) Chamandeep Deve: 1 Bronge ( Rink Race II ) KHO-KHO IN THE CBSE INTER SCHOOL KHO-KHO CLUSTER XI, held at Allons Public School Bemetera (Chhattis Garh)- Girls team won III Prize. VOLLEYBALL In the Sahodaya Inter School Volley Ball Championship held at Vidya Sagar School Girls team won II Runner up Prize. LAWN-TENNIS Kopal Argal of class VI won first prize in the State Level Lawn Tennis Competition held at Chindwara. Now she is at Delhi, participating in the National Level Competition. MUSIC In Ahilyotsav Samiti Bhajan Competition school children Got III position (CASH PRIZE Rs.2000/- In Sanmati Higher Secondary School our school got III prize. In Ahilyotsav Samiti Bhajan Competition . School got III Prize. KANIKA DIXIT OF CLASS VA PASSED THE MUSIC EXAM CONDUCTED BY AKHIL BHARATIYA GANDHARV MAHAVIDYALAY, MUMBAI. DANCE In Inter School solo Dance competition held at St. Paul Primary School. Shreya Singhal of class- V Stood III. In the Inter School group Dance competition organized by Universal Solidarity Movement of value Education for Peace our student stood IV among first five.
In the International Drawing Exhibition and Competition for Primary and Middle class students, organized by Shree Madhya Bharat Hindi Sahitya Samiti - 7 students drawing got selected for award.
IN XII (PCM) GROUP: Ksitish Tripathi stood first with 88.2% and highest in Physics- 94%, Chemistry- 89%. Rahul Mehta stood second with 86.4%. IN XII (PCB) GROUP: Gautami Upadhyay secured first place with 79% with highest in Biology-84% while Priyadarshini Jha stood II with 74%. IN THE XII COMMERECE GROUP: Roli Shukla stood I getting 83.4% and highest in Accounts-93%, Entrepreneurship-90% and Business Studies -88%. Akanksha Arora stood II with 80.8%.
