Infosys technologies - one of the leading software and IT services company of India has agreed to set up a development centre at Indore, MP. Unlike TCS issue where the dates are still not certain, this time the State Government has assured hassle-free land acquisition within the stipulated time.
Indore Collector Raghvendra Singh and Additional secretary (IT) Government of MP Anurag Srivastava were in Bangalore where they met the Infosys executive co-chairman S Gopalkrishnan and briefed him about the State Government decision. Infosys company's S Gopalakrishnan announced that the company would invest `100 crore in the proposed development centre. The chief minister also assured the company to allot a suitable land for the project. The Infosys officers had visited Indore in September and again in November. The visits fuelled speculations about company's proposed plans to create a new center at Indore. The Infosys team is expected to come down to Indore this month to finalise the land formalities. MP State government is ready to lay out a red-carpet for the Infosys giant, and it will be ready to provide with the piece of land of Infy's choice. If all goes well, Infosys may have the Indore land acquired before December 31. Welcome to Indore Infosys! As of today (6/12/2011), IDA (Indore Development Authority) has already started acquiring land from the farmers on the 8.5 km long super corridor area. An agreement for 2.5 acre land has been signed with 5 farmers on day 1. The land is near Bangadada village area. From 5th dec to 16th Dec, IDA is plannign to acquire the land in order to meet the needs of IT companies coming to Indore, including Infosys. This land acquisition impacts Bhaurasala, Kumedi and Sukhliya in scheme no. 169-A; Nainod, Chhota and Bada Bangadada, Tigariya Badshah, Pala khedi and Bardari in 169-B,
