The Health Department has raised doubts about the existence of some other epidemic than Dengu and Malariya in the state. In an emergency meeting held on Sunday, Health Administrator Dr. Ashok Sharma stated the possibility of it being an attack of some other bacteria which doctors are treating as Dengu. District Collector Mr. Rakesh Shrivastava and dean of MGM Medical College Dr. M. K. Saraswat, along with other officials, were also present in the meeting. Dr. Sharma informed that patients suffering from these bacteria complain of fever in the morning and lower platelets by noon and get serious by evening. National Institute of Communicable Disease and World Health Organization have been written to identify this disease. An investigation team from both these organizations is expected to reach Bhopal on Tuesday or Wednesday. Mr. Sharma also informed about making a treatment protocol mandatory in all hospitals. Excessive number of patients in any hospital will be shifted.
