The number of diabetics is rapidly increasing in Indore. The number has grown five times in last five years. The strange thing is that half of the patients do not even know that they have caught the disease. These facts were revealed by the diabetes expert Dr. Dharmendra Jhawar during a Health and Diabetes Test Camp organized at M. Y. Hospital on the occasion of World Diabetes Day. Around 150 people received a health check up. Doppler tests were administered for patients.  Dr. Jhawar informed that more than 3000 patients of diabetes were treated at MYH in last one year. More than 15% people of above 30 years age suffer from the disease. This imperils the patients of paralysis and even stroke.
