Lupin Pharmaceutical's new Plants in Indore are under inspection by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Lupin recently got approval from FDA to start selling Oral Contraceptive medicines which are produced in its Indore based plants. Oral Contraceptive is a very lucrative segment in medicines, and Lupin is looking forward to add to its bottomline in this segment. The Audit at Lupin Indore is in progress and should finish in a day or two. So far FDA has not come up with any non-conformity with the American drug manufacturing standards. Lupin expects to earn between 100-200 million US Dollars from sales of OC Drugs in the US markets in the next few years. Provided Lupins audit goes well, everything will work as planned otherwise if the FDA finds any deficiencies, Lupin will have to address those and that will delay their plan for OC Drug sell in US.
