| Indore Requires More Doctors and Medical Staff to Fight Dengue |
| Health Services | |||
|
According to Health Department, Dengue is taking its toll in urban Indore only but the disease has spread widely in nearby villages, too. Scarcity of doctors and trained medical staff in these villages is also worsening the situation. Approx 1000 Dengue patients have been found in last two months in villages and approx 25 have died of the disease. This figure has not been officially confirmed though. Villages near Indore need doctors and paramedical staff to defeat Dengue. As per available information, only half of the required staff is available there. The local government has been informed of this situation. The doctors who have been appointed in these areas are often not available for longer hours and patients are to seek private medical services. Some untrained doctors are also taking undue advantage of this situation. Trackback(0)
