The helpless father kept wandering from one hospital to another, carrying his son's body on his shoulder, the crying mother kept running behind. They kept knocking the doors of doctors and hospitals of Indore for three hours, anticipating someone to come ahead and save their child, but these so-called professionals of today were void of heart and humility. This is the story of Bajrang Nagar resident Devilal and his wife Basu. Their son Rohit was quite well just two days ago. He suddenly complained of vomiting and diarrhea. ‘He had caught fever. We took him to Saikripa hospital at Dewas Naka on Wednesday at 10am. Dr Rajesh Maheshwari administered some treatment and at 12 he declared him to be OK. ‘ says Basu, mother of the boy. ‘We asked the doctor to let him stay in hospital but he released him.’ She adds. ‘After an hour his health deteriorated and we took him again to Dr. Maheshwari, who checked him and said that he was serious and could not be treated there. He referred him to Life Line hospital or Geeta Bhavan hospital on his prescription slip’ laments the father. They both, under scorching heat, took him to Life Line Hospital, Devilal could feel boy’s breath on his shoulder then. But, the hospital denied him entry saying there is no vacancy. Hospital asked him to take the boy somewhere else. They, in search of some other hospital, reached to Greater Kailash. Rohit had no movement now. This hospital, too, denied admission at first. But, on extreme imploration from the crying parents, the doctors and nurses of the hospital deigned to look at the boy, only to declare him as dead. How could the poor parents believe their words so easily, they rushed to M.Y. Hospital, but they had lost their world by then. Trackback(0)
