Health Secretary first time accepted the existence of epidemic. The government, which had been avoiding to acknowledge its severity, has now accepted the existence of Dengue epidemic in the city. Health Secretary Sudhi Ranjan Mohanti, first time on Thursady, confirmed that there had been 138 Dengue patients in Indore last month. Figure for current month has not yet been declared. Hospitals, though, suggest it to grow much more this month, too. The intensity of the epidemic can be gauged by the fact that more than 200 patients of Viral Fever were admitted to 6 big hospitals of Indore on Thursday it self. The hospitals include Bombay Hospital, CHL Apollo, Bapat, Curewell, Aanand and Bhandari. Doctors confirm that most of these 200 patients are for Dengue while only 20% seem to be suffering from other viral fevers. Trackback(0)
