You are cordially welcome to join the Indore Marathon 2008 starting from Once again, IIM indore is bringing this event of Marathon. A marathon epitomizes endurance, strength, character and above all togetherness. It is a community event through which people express their willingness to make a difference. Which is precisely why the participants of IIM Indore have hit upon the idea of a Pan-Indore Marathon for Peace & Harmony on the 2nd of October 2008. Let us know if you are running.... With incidents of social unrest rocking the city and the whole nation recently, IIM-I believes it is the time to express solidarity with one and all, to stand up and be counted as responsible and compassionate citizens. The marathon, while testing a person’s physical and mental endurance, will provide an ideal platform to spread the feeling of mutual affection, tolerance and peaceful co-existence. The marathon, with Peace and Harmony as its theme, will consist of - The Peace Run and The Celebratory Run. The Peace Run will be 12 km in length, whereas the Celebratory Run will be 2 km long. The Peace Run will take a 12 km route, long enough for serious runners to compete and amateur participants to challenge themselves. The Celebratory Run, a short 2 km run, on the other hand will allow everyone in The proposed route of the marathon is as follows: Peace Marathon - 10KM SGSITS-Race Course Road up to PT & Apollo Square-Chappan Dukan-Palasia Square(through AB road)-GeetaBhavan-St Pauls-Daily College-Residency Road- Nehru stadium-RNT Marg upto Royal Square- SGSITS Celebratory Peace Run - 3KM SGSITS – Lantern Square – Y N Road – City Centre – M G Road – Hukumchand Square – BTC – Apollo Square – Race Course Road – Lantern Square – SGSITS.
