& Communication (SIMC) is organizing FOOTPRINTS ’09, a series of Media seminars encompassing the
various aspects of the media relating to Advertising, Audio Visual, Journalism
and Public Relations.A Constituent of Symbiosis International University, SIMC is India’s premier integrated Media & Communication educational initiative. SIMC stands committed to providing the industry with skilled and trained media professionals adept in all fields of mass communication. FOOTPRINTS is organized by the media students of the institute who manage and conduct the event in entirety and this year it is happening in 25 different cities across the country and one each in the city of Dubai and Mauritius. The Indian media industry has evolved over the years and is today replete with innovative ideas and ventures. FOOTPRINTS is one such avenue which allows students and aspiring media professionals to explore these opportunities. Organizing of this event, has enabled students to gain practical experience and knowledge by exposure to Media & Communication while achieving a successful event for each of the 8 years that it has been held. FOOTPRINTS is a congregation of visionaries and distinguished faces in the media. It attracts hundreds of educated young people from all across the nation. The seminar is a daylong event that will comprise of interaction between students and the media stalwarts. The target audience is youngsters from the age group of 16-25.This year FOOTPRINTS’09 Indore will have an audience of over 1000 media aspirants. As part of this event, after the media seminar, we are organizing a concert of a popular group from Pune called Rahmania, which plays famous musician A. R. Rahman songs and has performed live with the maestro AR Rahman himself. This would be a wonderful experience for the youth and the public of Indore.
