Americans and Indians enjoy a rich and vibrant relationship built on a foundation of shared values, common goals, and mutual admiration. To celebrate and strengthen this significant partnership, the American Center is bringing a piece of America to the people of western and central India - many of whom may not be able to visit the Consulate General in Mumbai.

Along with 23 other cities across the nation, American Days will also be celebrated in our very own Indore City. American Diplomats from Mumbai Consulate will be travelling to Indore for America Days celebrations.

As per the American Center, Mumbai "America Days" is an to share a slice of America and promote mutual understandingas. An American diplomat will be reaching Raipur and wil be there between September 9-11.

In western India, the cities of Ahmedabad, Bhilai, Indore, Nanded, Raipur, and Ujjain are part of the "America Days" tour. In Indore also, these American diplomats will  participate in various cultural exchange programmes. merica Day organised by the American Centre here is aimed at promoting mutual understanding and nurture common interests between the people of the US and India.

In Raipur, the public is invited to attend a screening of the American documentary film "An Inconvenient Truth" (Hindi version) at Sankalp Deaddiction Centre, 18 Kilash Road, Meeta Datar Road, at 5.00 pm on September 11, 2009.

Last year, America Days in Indore were organized in Feb 2008 during which several program were held at Holkar Science College, DAVV, IMA etc. These events include cultural programs, seminars and movie screenings too.
