After IIM and IIT in Indore, now Indore is demanding for a Medical university. Many medicine colleges and other organizations are pro- Indore medical university and they have requested Chief Minister MP, Mr. Shivraj Chouhan to get it approved.
Medical Education Minister has already approved a medical university for Gwalior.

Ex-Chancelor of DAVV, Dr. Bharat Chapparwal is convinced that indore is ready for this, and has all the required infradstructure and facilities for a medical university. Indore is already an education hub, and it must have the medical university. There are 4 Medical Colleges, 5 Dental colleges, 11 Nursing and 11 Pharmacy colleges; Indore Homeopathy, Physiotherapy, Ayurvedic and Paramedical colleges 5 each, in Indore. Also, Indore has more that 100 hospitals with 100+ beds. All these aminities make Indore eligible for a medical university.
