Human Resource minister Kapil Sibbal, on Tuesday, as a major step in improving education standards has declared to effect same syllabus for Maths and Science in 11th and 12th classes all over India. He informed that from 2013 there will be one common entrance test for admissions in Engineering and Medical institutions after 12th. And there will be one common exam for commerce and other subjects too. A task force will be given the responsibility to decide on all the technical issues in this respect. The task force will be formed within a month of time. A common syllabus for maths and science has been prepared by Education Research committee.
