Indore is facing severe water crisis, and Indore municipal corporation has taken critical steps to fight these problems. Starting from Feb till June, a water emergency has been declared in the Indore city. People who waste water will be charged fines. Private borewells will be confiscated. Water distribution will be closely monitored througout the city and new rules and regulations will be formulated to fight this water crisis in Indore. Water taxes will also be diligently collected and any defaulters would be punished. For betterment of our city Indore, we at Indore360 urge you to respect this emergency and help in whatever ways possible. This is a testing time for Indorians, and it will prove how much responsible are we towards our city - Indore. Like all bad times, this too shall pass, but we have to stand together and save water to fight this problem. 5 quick and easy steps to save water: 1. Avoid using showers whenever possible. Use bucket of water. On an average, using shower takes 10 times more water than a bucket. 2. While shaving, washing face etc. you don't need water to run continuously. Please turn the tap off and only turn it on when you DO need the water. 3. Instead of washing car, bike every day you can do that once a fortnight or once a week if really important. This will save a lot of water. 4. When using water dependent machines - like washing machine, sprinklers etc. make sure you use it to the optimum. Using washing machine for 10 clothes will take same water as it takes for 30 clothes. 5. And above all, make sure you respect water and use it only if needed. Just because its there, you dont have to overuse it. We are sure that indore is responsible enough to fight this water crisis. Trackback(0)
