Dear Indorians, As we see everyday, the state of traffic affairs in Indore is hopeless. It seems that government and authorities find themselves helpless in resolving the traffic problem. Have your ever stopped for a minute to think why we have such a bad traffic situation in Indore? Come to think of it, we are all equally responsible. Every time we jump a red light - we break the traffic discipline. Every time we stop on the road side to make an conversation, we are creating traffic congestion. Honking without a reason - we are responsible for the sound pollution. Overtaking on the bridge - we are responsible for those accidents. Each one of us Indorians is responsible in one way or Other when it comes to Traffic discipline. I urge you all to have faith in the system, and at the same time, follow the rules yourself. I promise you, Indore traffic will get better. Here are 5 simple steps for Traffic betterment in Indore: 1. Never Jump a red light. Wait for the signal to be green before you start. Have patience, and don't worry about the people honking behind you. 2. Stay behind the Zebra crossing or white line at the signal. 3. Drive in your own lane. Do not overtake unnecessarily. Do Not Honk without reason. 4. Respect other fellow drivers. The Roads are for sharing, not for personal use only. 5. Practice the "Right of way". Its a privilege. Share it with others. Hope that these few thoughts will enlighten the real indorian inside you, and help us improve the traffic in Indore city. If you still need reason - think about hundreds of people who died in road accidents over last one year. Think of the parents who lost their kids, and children who lost their parents.
